ABOUT

The opportunity gap is an education reform term used to describe the very real and prevalent disparity that exists as a result of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status and other social and economic factors, where all people do not have equal access to the same resources and opportunities. This is based on what is provided to the populations.
The achievement gap is an education reform term used to describe the differences in levels of achievements often measured by test scores and performance levels between people in low socioeconomic statuses versus those with higher statuses. This is based on what is produced by the populations.
